Vietnam Airlines Officially Operates at T3 Passenger Terminal – Tan Son Nhat Airport
Ho Chi Minh City, April 17, 2025 – Vietnam Airlines is pleased to announce the official commencement of operations at the newly inaugurated T3 Passenger Terminal at Tan Son Nhat Airport. This significant milestone marks the beginning of a new era in domestic flight services, starting with flight VN1286 from Ho Chi Minh City to Van Don.
Operational Transition Details:
Effective from 00:00 on April 19, 2025, all flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi (SGN-HAN and HAN-SGN directions) operated by Vietnam Airlines will be redirected to Terminal 3. Subsequently, from April 28, 2025, other domestic flights will also be rescheduled to operate at Terminal T3, with the exception of certain routes.
Important Note:
Vietnam Airlines’ routes between Ho Chi Minh City and Con Dao (VCS), Rach Gia (VKG), and Ca Mau (CAH) will continue to operate at Terminal T1, the current domestic terminal. Flights operated by Pacific Airlines and VASCO will also remain at Terminal T1 until further notice.
Passenger Recommendations:
- Verify Terminal Information: Passengers are advised to double-check the departure terminal information clearly indicated on their tickets or itinerary.
- Ensure Arrival at the Correct Terminal: Passengers must actively move to Terminal T3 for Vietnam Airlines domestic flights subject to conversion.
- Airport Arrival Time: To ensure a smooth check-in process, passengers are recommended to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure time.
- Procedure Optimization: Priority is given to using online check-in (Web/Mobile Check-in) or at automated kiosks (Kiosk Check-in) located at Terminal T3. Vietnam Airlines has check-in counters from 56 to 109 and 22 automatic kiosks.
Travel Information Between Terminals:
Terminals T1, T2, and T3 are located separately. The travel time between the terminals is estimated to be around 20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Passengers can choose from the following modes of transportation:
- Free Shuttle Bus: Provided by Tan Son Nhat International Airport, with a frequency of about 20 minutes per trip.
- Taxis or Technology Car Services
Advanced Facilities at T3 Terminal:
Terminal T3 is equipped with advanced biometric identification technology. Passengers using the VNeID application can experience a fully automated check-in process with facial recognition, from check-in to security and boarding, without presenting identification documents, ensuring convenience and speed.
